I Loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti
This doesn’t happen often, and I am thoroughly delighted for one of my favorite friends. One of my first publicists working at Scribner on (among many other things) my series of crime novels -and one of the best at it - is a young woman named Giulia Melucci. After a few years with me, which made promoting the books great fun, Giulia moved on to a number of other jobs. Through the occasional evenings together, she filled me in on her work - and her love-life - but didn’t let on that she was writing her own book. Six months ago, I began to see buzz about it everywhere - and this week, it is out of the starting blocks in great fashion. I woke up to the adorable Giulia on the TODAY Show….and a front page “At Home with…” story in the HOME section of the NY TIMES…and she’s off and running. Several months ago, I invited her to be one of the featured authors at our God’s Love We Deliver Book/Author luncheon on April 23rd (www.glwd.org - buy a ticket and come). That header above is the title of her book - a wonderfully warm memoir about how she cooked her way through failed romances….and all recipes included. Pick up a copy.
